First Food

Kendal is always eying our food when we eat and is really curious about what we are doing. So I decided that it was time to feed him his first solids. We gave him some rice cereal, and boy did he LOVE it. He actually did well with actually eating it. He knew what to do with it and everything. He was such a happy boy every time we'd give him some more. His big brothers were so happy to help too, (which made it get a little too messy). He loved it!

The Beach

On Monday the boys and I went with my mom and my brothers to Saltair to play on the Salty beach. My mom bought my boys a fun coloring book from the gift shop there. They had a great time. Braden has been wanting to go to the beach for a long time, probably years. So now he finally got to go to one. He had so much fun!

Coden got in the water for a little bit but then wanted to just sit and watch everyone.

I sat Kendal down on the sand cause he was so desperately wanting to get down. And of course the first thing he does is try to eat the sand. He didn't like that very much but he kept trying to put sand in his mouth. I think he finally realized not to eat it. He kept moving his right leg back and forth, it must have felt good on his leg.

It's so beautiful at the Great Salt Lake. I love the outdoors.

After cleaning Kendal up a bit and feeding him, he decided to suck on his toes. He is so funny.

Crawling

My wittle baby is crawling now. He actually started to crawl officially about a week ago. But I'm slow and I'm finally now documenting this great accomplishment. He started by getting up on his hands and toes. And then before I knew it he was on his hands and knees and rocking. He was so proud of himself he'd just rock forever while we would praise him. Then now he moves all around the room on his hands and knees and spins in circles to go the other way. I can hardly believe how old he is getting. Time goes by too fast. It seems as if he was born only yesterday. And yet it has been over 5 months now. I luv my wittle baby!!

He's so proud of himself. And of course I am too :)

Birthday Celebration

On Sunday we celebrated Brian's Birthday with his family. We had a picnic at a park. It was really fun. The boys had a great time. At one point we watched as Coden, Braden and Erika took off across the long field and we sent Ashley to go and get them for us. :) It was very entertaining. After the park we went back to Brian's parents house and had yummy pie. Thanks Sue for all the yummy food.

Weekend trip

Last weekend we were going to go camping at our Ward campout, but ended up not going. The boys and I were a little sad about it, but then when my parents and brothers were going to go down to their property to Hike and picnic we jumped at the chance. So on Saturday we met my mom and dad down in the Hideaway Valley. We had a really fun time. The boys really enjoyed it and we were all glad to get out in the fresh air and nature. Thanks mom for letting us tag along and for the yummy food.

Late Birthday shout out

I want to wish my husband a Happy late Birthday. And to thank him for everything he does. And for being such a great husband and father. I'm thankful for his open mindedness and love for learning and finding things out for himself.
I'm so thankful that he is so diligent in keeping his business going and trying his best to provide for his family.
I'm thankful for his sense of humor even though it bugs me sometimes. :)
I love that he loves his boys and loves spending time with them and doing things for them.
On his Birth day we went to his parents house and had cake. Then Sue Watched Braden and Coden for us while Brian Kendal and I went to Madeline's for dinner and then to see the movie Star Trek. The movie was actually better than what I was expecting. So it was really fun. We had a good time. Thanks Sue for watching the boys for us!!!

Too Busy....But That's Life

Wednesday was Brian's 28th Birthday. I didn't have a chance to post anything about him then cause our power went out the morning of and I didn't have access to my computer. Until today. But then I forgot to do a shout out to my wonderful hubby. Until Now. Better late than never I guess. Which is going to be even later than sooner cause I'm going to go to bed. But, I will post a belated Birthday shout out about my sweetheart, eventually. Hopefully tomorrow/later today. After I get some much needed sleep. If I can. So check back soon. I will also be adding more pictures from our Vegas trip as soon as I find my phone cord. I have some pics on there from that trip that I haven't been able to upload to my computer cause I can't find the right cord to do so. So keep checking back for updates. Hopefully I'll be able to update with photos and a shout out to Bri ASAP.

Happy 5 month Birthday

My baby is 5 months old today. I can't believe how fast time fly's. He is such a big boy. Here he is enjoying his first solid food, that's right, a lemon. He was chowing down on that thing, he loved it soo much.
Look at him attacking my hand and the lemon. He's so silly.
Here he's a little sour faced, but that didn't stop him. He was in heaven.
Just look at that cute face!!
Kendal is growing up so fast. When I lay him on his back he flips around to his stomach as fast as he can. He'll roll from back to front and then front to back, and then do it all again. When I put him on a blanket to play on the floor with some toys, a few minutes later he is off the blanket on the other side of the room. He's a fast little one. Can't stay in one place for too long or he'll get mad. :) It's so crazy how fast children grow up and learn things.
I love it when Kendal recognizes me after I've been away from him. He gets so excited when I come to pick him up after he's been playing with his toys. He sometimes gets so excited he cry's, it's so funny. He's such a squishy baby, I love him so much.

Erika's Birthday party

Brian's little niece Erika turned 4 last week. We went to the Mayan to celebrate her Birthday. Braden and Coden had little tantrums here and there while waiting for food at the Mayan. We got a bunch of them on camera. See below. Don't you just love that crying face?

Kendal was actually fairly good, he was a little fussy until I fed him at Brian's parents house.

After the Mayan we went to Brian's mom and dads to eat yummy pudding cake and the kids got to hit a Pinata. Braden, Coden and Erika kept taking turns "fighting" over the stick. It was actually pretty entertaining. LOL In all the commotion I didn't get a pic of Erika hitting the stick.

I also woke up with a terrible headache that morning. But I made it through.
It was a long, fun, tiring, hecktic, funny, happy, crazy day.

On Saturday I went to see the Musical "Hello Dolly" at the Hale Center Theater with my MIL Sue, and my SIL's Laurie and Danielle, Dave's Friend Jessica and my niece Ashley. It was soooo much fun, thanks Sue for buying us tickets and for the cookies. I had a very enjoyable time, especially since I got a nice break from all 3 boys this time, instead of just the 2.
So thanks Brian also for watching our boys so I can have a nice break. And while I'm in such a thanking mood, thanks Dan for washing our Van window and dashboard and vacuming it for us. I barely get time to clear things out every once in a while, so thank you very much.
My FIL noticed our dirty winsheild in our van while the boys were hanging out at his house while I was at the musical and he decided to clean it. Then he noticed the dashboard and floor was in need of some cleaning and he cleaned those for us too. I'm a little embaressed that he saw our van so messy, but with 3 kids cleaning the van is at the bottom of my list of things to do. So that helped me a lot. It was actually a little bit cleaner that it has been in the past. :)

Anywho, afterward we went to visit Shanae at Souper Salad. She was working at the Midvale one and so I thought it would be fun to go while she was at that one, since it's a little bit closer to our house than the one she normal works at.
